If we go back in time just before origin of present cosmos, we shall find the old cosmos disappearing at a very fast pace into a huge black hole. This dissolution of cosmos is termed Pralaya in Hinduism. The dissolution of old cosmos results in entire cosmos reducing to size of half a thumb. In absence of dross impurities within all souls’ atmans in cosmos occupied the volume of half a thumb.
Does this mean the entire cosmos consisted of only souls and atmans? Yes, as detailed in Bhagavad Gita and also Upanishads (independent spiritual treatises) nothing other than souls atmans existed in cosmos.
And what is this cluster of souls’ atmans in their pure form? The cluster of pure souls’ atmans, the size of half a thumb is what we called Brahman in all its glory. The clear definition of Brahman as per Hinduism scriptures is cluster of all souls and atmans in their pure form.
This magnanimous primordial cosmic energy size of half a thumb unable to contain itself for long in its prime pure state again explodes with a big bang resulting in formation of a new cosmos! Does this mean Brahman himself explodes self to form present cosmos, yes cosmic facts say so!
Upanishads are absolutely clear on this cosmic fact of life. As per Upanishads Brahman is the singularity in the beginning of cosmos explosion of which resulted in creation of present cosmos.
All human beings possess a soul atman existing in their heart. This proves that Brahman existed in all human beings in miniscule form as their soul atman. This also proves that primarily we are a spirit, a spiritual traveler on its cosmic sojourn out to cleanse self of dross impurities within.
As cleansing of self is possible only in human form and not lower forms of life, undertaking spiritual journey is the ultimate goal of life for all human beings on mother earth. Only then we can purify self as a soul atman, regain our lost original pure prime pristine primordial form.
