How does one reach state of enlightenment in absence of teachings of spirituality contained in Hinduism? The scriptures of Hinduism pave way for entire humanity to gain enlightenment in their lifetime. No other religion on earth could do this.
For a soul atman, the consciousness within to reach its cosmic end of life, for human beings to realize their true inner potential teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent spiritual treatises) is necessitated. Though Indian spirituality forms part of Hinduism religion yet the teachings of Indian spirituality were totally distinct. To reach God in our lifetime teachings of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita is necessitated and never path of religion (rituals).
Indulging in religious practices of any religion in this world including Hinduism none could ever reach god, realize god. God can be reached, realized when human beings indulging in contemplation (chintan) realized the inner meaning of sacred texts like Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads. One single scripture Bhagavad Gita suffices for entire humanity to reach state of enlightenment.
Even though the original text of Bhagavad Gita containing 700 shlokas verses in Sanskrit along with English transliteration is available for mere $1 from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India yet there were no takers. Reason being everything contained in Bhagavad Gita could not be understood literally, it demands reading in between the lines. One has to follow, rather master the delicate art of contemplation (chintan) to reach the hidden underlying meaning.
Indulging in contemplation is difficult if we hoard lots of desires and wishes. Successful contemplation (chintan) can only be made by one who has 100% faith in entity of God, believes in existence of souls atmans, is willing to travel path of 100% truthfulness. There were many other requisites mastering which human beings can truly understand the essence of Bhagavad Gita. Everything contained in Hinduism scriptures demand our indulgence in contemplation (chintan).
We are born a human being. We shall live (happily or not) a life of 70 to 80 years and then leave the mortal frame. And again enter the vicious circle of birth and death. We as a soul atman shall again manifest a new body after death of old mortal frame. This circle of birth and death continues unabated until soul atman reaches cosmic end of life, 8.4 millionth manifestation. This is the stage when devoid of dross impurities within a soul atman reaches state of absolute purity. A pure soul atman in absence of dross impurities within need not manifest a body again. The circle of life for this soul atman finally ends.
For human beings to end the vicious cycle of birth and death, indulgence in teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita is necessitated. This is the biggest endowment of Hinduism to mankind.
The whole world is truly indebted to teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita in absence of which none world over could ever reach God, reach stage of enlightenment.
It is Hinduism alone that differentiates spirituality with path of religion (rituals). For journey towards God indulgence in anything that was spiritual is necessitated. As long as Hinduism remains people from entire world could successfully indulge in spirituality to gain enlightenment.
Hinduism scriptures explained all relating to spirituality. The sacred Bhagavad Gita contains everything relating to spirituality from A to Z. For life to survive, for human beings to realize their fullest potential Hinduism has remained and shall continue to remain foremost of all religions on mother earth. The best part of Bhagavad Gita is with passage of time nothing in Bhagavad Gita dilutes. The same spiritual principles that stood test of time in past are applicable even now.
The depth of Hinduism religion could never be assessed by one. Only an enlightened one can realize what Hinduism was all about.
Born in a Jain family I pursued teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita from six years of age. My belief in teachings of Hinduism came from within. This does not mean I do not believe in teachings of Jainism. For me both are important and vital to human life as I could understand the inner meanings of sacred texts of both religions. Yet, Lord Krishna advent almost thousand years earlier to coming of Mahavira, 24th Tirthankara of Jainism! For me the roots of jnana wisdom lay in teachings of Lord Krishna than Jainism and I was proved right in my surmise.
In the wee hours of third of August 1993 when I realized God, realized self I came to know that I had reached cosmic end of life, 8.4 millionth manifestation. Throughout life from six years of age I followed teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita. Yet when necessitated I entered a roundtable conference in subconscious state wherein sat Lord Krishna, Mahavira, Gautama Buddha and Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed apart from Adi Shankaracharya. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharshi Ramana!
In the morning when I got up all my individual queries related to different preceptors had disappeared forever. If I had a query relating to Jainism I addressed it to Mahavira. If I had something to clarify from Gautama Buddha, the query was addressed to him. The substance of the roundtable conference lay in the fact that whatever queries I had before the roundtable conference, all disappeared by the morning when I got up. I could easily talk to all these enlightened souls on a one-to-one basis. After reaching a particular level in spirituality, indulging in roundtable conferences became almost a daily routine.
Without discarding or rejecting any religion, I reached the underlying unity of all religions. It was at this moment I had Sakshat Darshan of God Almighty on one-to-one basis.
Hinduism religion has everything for human beings to complete the circle of life on mother earth. What more could human beings ask of Hinduism?
