How does one attain Moksha through Karma Yoga 1

Karma yoga is only a single discipline of spirituality that needs pursuing. Apart from practicing karma yoga there were many other attributes related to spirituality that need following.

Karma yoga as detailed in Bhagavad Gita says seekers; spiritual travelers must indulge in day-to-day routines of life nishkama karma way of life. As karma yoga demands annihilation of karma in totality, we have to work like a trustee, a custodian for whom everything all the time belonged to God Almighty and also our true inner self existing in heart as soul atman.

Working like a caretaker we never attached self to fruits of karma performed. Nishkama karma is all about never attaching self to fruits of karma performed. As per Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita fruits of karma indulged by human beings always belonged to the real inner self existing in our heart as soul atman, the spirit.

Indulgence in nishkama karma yoga does not create any karmic bondage. On path of pure spirituality karma has to be negated to zero, only then we can become a pure soul atman.

Apart from practice of karma yoga, nishkama karma yoga we have to indulge in absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation. Only then we could awaken our kundalini shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine. Awakening of kundalini shakti means activation of brain to full capacity. Normal human beings used their brain 1 to 2%. After full kundalini awakening one used his brain to 100% capacity.

So was done by Mahavira, Gautama Buddha even Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed.

Apart from practice of nishkama karma yoga and absolute celibacy we have to demolish our ego to zero. Overpowering five senses and mind need time. The moment we succeed demolishing ego in totality, control over five senses and mind follows automatically.

Primarily it is path of jnana yoga that rules path of spirituality. Indulging in jnana yoga means mastering contemplation (chintan) so that we could assimilate pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita, various other sacred texts. Nothing in Bhagavad Gita or sacred scriptures can be understood literally, they demand our reaching the hidden underlying meaning.

To reach the hidden underlying meaning mastery of contemplation is an absolute must.

Ever since six years of age I have realized that indulgence in contemplation is the most difficult part of path of spirituality. Probably none wants to indulge in contemplation. Those who did successfully reached stage of self realization, god realization. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharshi Ramana indulging in path of jnana yoga mastered art of contemplation to reach God.

The moment we succeed demolishing ego in totality, we reached state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (absolute nothingness) when not a single thought entered our brain uninvoked. Simultaneously we need practicing absolute celibacy for 12 years in continuation. State of thoughtlessness means all queries within us dissolving forever. One finally becomes a self realized soul.

The moment this self realized soul leaves mortal frame, succumbs to death one achieves state of moksha salvation.

Reaching state of moksha salvation means becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha or Jesus Christ even Prophet Mohammed or becoming a Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Maharshi Ramana in real life.

As mentioned above, to attain Moksha the following are important:
    1. Karma yoga without expecting any fruits in return
    2. Celibacy of 12 years
    3. No ego
    4. Mastering chintan
Considering Karma Yoga, you said to indulge in day-to-day routines of life – nishkama karma way of life. This is what most of the people(not all) are actually doing to earn a living. But still only a minority is happy. Most of them are under stress, anxiety, unhappy, etc.
    Please clarify.
    Thank you
