Can there be book that helped us climb Mount Everest, if not then self realization book meant nothing. The journey of self realization can never be covered indulging in books. The journey of self realization is an inward journey towards the spirit, consciousness existing in our heart.
More than a book it is practice of mountaineering that leads one to climb the Mount Everest. Similarly more than a book, practices of various precepts of spirituality is necessitated to reach state of self realization, god realization.
Precepts of spirituality like demolishing ego in totality, having 100% faith in God, absolute belief in world of souls atmans, capability to indulge in kundalini awakening, practice of absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation and the foremost of all the requisite willpower to indulge in contemplation (chintan) and mastering it in totality.
Unless we had full faith in God and believed in world of souls’ atmans nothing related to spirit becomes clear and one cannot indulge in spirituality successfully.
Mastering delicate art of contemplation is needed to reach the hidden underlying meanings contained in sacred texts of different scriptures of world. The inner knowledge of sacred texts is necessitated to cut darkness of ignorance. In present Kali Yuga (Dark Age) one cannot indulge in sacred texts following path of bhakti yoga and karma yoga alone. Nothing ever becomes clear.
Indulgence in path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) is an absolute must to dissolve queries within. To demolish our ego in totality, to overpower five senses and mind jnana wisdom contained in scriptures comes to our rescue. And we can comfortably understand, indulge in scriptures only when we indulged in contemplation (chintan) all the time.
As everything in path of self realization is covered via contemplation, need for self realization book never arises. For this very reason even a spiritual master can do little to help a seeker reach state of self realization. The most spiritual master could do was solve some queries of spiritual seeker. Most queries have to be dissolved within by indulging in contemplation only. And for this self enquiry, path of Neti (not this, not this) practiced and advocated by Maharshi Ramana comes to our rescue. If so necessitated one can easily duplicate path taken by Maharshi Ramana to reach stage of self realization!
