On path of pure spirituality there was no room for criticism. Similar as no two human beings were equal, all religions practiced their spiritual and religious set of routines. All religions were free to do so. If any limitation existed, it is only within some followers of some religions of the world.
Similar as different branches of a tree coexist, so should all religions.
Yes, Hinduism has something different than all other religions in its kitty. In present times human beings, seekers can reach state of enlightenment, realize self realize god only by indulging in sacred texts like Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent spiritual treatises).
Following sacred texts of any religion other than Hinduism one could never see or realize god. Becoming a pure soul atman was possible only by following path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads. The best part of life is contents of Bhagavad Gita had universal appeal. Any human being world over belonging to any religion faith or belief, even without a spiritual mentor could follow teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita to gain enlightenment.
In the entire Christian world only Jesus Christ succeeded in reaching state of enlightenment and so was the case with Prophet Mohammed. While in Hinduism hundreds of seekers succeeded in reaching state of enlightenment in their lifetime. In recent times Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharshi Ramana was one of them.
If we are a religious person, it does not matter which religion we followed. But if we are spiritual, desire seeking God in present life time then our indulgence in contemplation (chintan) was an absolute must to realize the hidden inner scriptural messages contained in Bhagavad Gita.
Path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) can be travelled only by indulgence in Bhagavad Gita. In present times none could reach God via path of bhakti yoga or karma yoga alone. Five senses and mind can be overpowered only by indulgence in jnana yoga.
For a serious seeker in search of God nothing else mattered than 700 shlokas verses contained in Bhagavad Gita, following which anyone can reach portals of God in our lifetime.
One single scripture Bhagavad Gita the original gist of which, all 700 shlokas verses in Sanskrit with English transliteration is available with Gita press, Gorakhpur, India only for $1 yet none world over seems interested. Reason being, none wanted to follow path of contemplation (chintan) that seemed impossible to travel. The assumption is right because only an ardent seeker like Swami Vivekananda can follow teachings of Bhagavad Gita in toto.
Does it mean one needs becoming a Swami Vivekananda in real life to assimilate teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita… yes spiritual facts say so!
In a limited time span of 70 to 80 years of earthly life if we desired indulging in Bhagavad Gita, we must duplicate path taken by Swami Vivekananda or Maharshi Ramana.
Only then we can hope reaching cosmic end of life, 8.4 millionth manifestation the state of absolute purity as a soul atman!
