A religious person is one who apart from daily routines of life indulges in prayers, worship to god. A truly sincerely religious person never misses a gathering, congregation on fixed dates and ritually goes to temples, churches or mosques.
A religious person is satisfied praying to god, worshipping god. No matter what hardships in day-to-day life, the prayers and worship never stops.
Despite all a religious person never truly understands what God Almighty is all about. Ritually praying to idols in Hinduism and attending church congregations or prayers in mosques does not mean anything. This way one never reaches God, never merges with God.
Spirituality on the other hand tells a human being that one is a spiritual traveler, a spirit manifesting human form. A believer of spirituality, so-called spiritual person most of the time indulges in contemplation (chintan) to reach the depth of cosmic truths of life contained in scriptures of different religions of world.
A spiritual person slowly realizes that one is primarily a soul atman and needs liberating self from cycle of birth and death forever. The true prayer worship for a spiritual person is indulging in sacred texts of different religions of world. Unless one travelled path of jnana yoga, one could never reach the hidden underlying cosmic truths of life contained in sacred texts.
The goal of life for a spiritual person always remains gaining absolute purity as a soul atman and finally merging with god and for reaching this stage jnana wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita comes to our rescue.
A spiritual traveler while indulging in Bhagavad Gita realizes that to reach god, demolition of ego in totality is necessitated. Only then one could overpower five senses and mind. Furthermore practice of absolute celibacy for a period of 12 years in continuation is necessitated for full awakening of kundalini energy, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine.
Full kundalini awakening gets necessitated to activate brain to full capacity 100%. Normal human beings used their brain 1 to 2%, the balance always lying dormant. By indulging in spirituality one can truly activate the brain to fully 100% capacity as did Mahavira, Gautama Buddha even Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed all enlightened souls.
Enlightenment means full kundalini awakening followed by 100% activation of brain. This results in opening of Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petalled Lotus) existing in brain behind forehead. One immediately becomes an enlightened one, a bodhi, a Jina… a Mahavira.
