If I were the richest person on earth and had the capability to build the largest Hindu temple in the world, my only query is, would it allow all people entering it to reach abode of God, become self realized god realized. If that cannot be done, why visit a temple at all simply as a ritual.
Hinduism also promotes spirituality the teachings of which lay in Bhagavad Gita. The most sacred of all scriptures existing on mother earth! Following the teachings of spirituality contained in Bhagavad Gita spiritual stalwarts Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in reaching state of enlightenment in their lifetime.
Visiting a Temple church or mosque does not matter much in real life. What matters is our closeness to God. Spiritual people were closer to God than those indulging in religious practices. Pursuing spiritual path is the end goal of every single human being on mother earth. By indulging in religious practices (rituals) we were only delaying our journey towards God.
Hinduism scriptures say, the biggest temple of God existed in our heart wherein lay our soul atman, the consciousness. As every soul atman is miniscule form of Almighty, its presence in heart matters the most. The inner journey travelled by spiritualists is all about reaching this inner essence we called soul atman.
A Hindu temple near or far does not truly mean anything. Since 6 1/2 years of age I stopped going to temples churches and mosques. Indulging in teachings of Lord Krishna contained in Bhagavad Gita I started my travel towards soul atman existing in heart. Remaining truthful all the time I could clearly hear the dictates of my soul atman coming from within.
With time, the voice of our soul atman coming from within grew louder and louder. Demolishing my ego in stages I started giving precedence to voice of soul atman than ego. I inherently started travelling path of spirituality than religion (path of rituals).
Furthermore all my prayers throughout my life were addressed to Brahman (God Almighty) in all his glory. I never prayed to any of the attributes of God Almighty like Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu or Lord Shiva. This was never necessitated. As stated by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita all prayers addressed to different attributes of God Almighty ultimately reach God Almighty himself.
Indulging in pure worship one never reaches anywhere. Essence of life lay in becoming one like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed. In my search of God I tried duplicating path taken by Maharshi Ramana. Through indulgence in contemplation (chintan) I realized that practicing self enquiry, Neti (not this, not this) initially was difficult but not impossible.
Essence of Hinduism is becoming one like enlightened ones, not simply following, worshipping them. We can worship Brahman (God Almighty) in all its glory but never its attributes. Similarly we must try to emulate Mahavira, Gautama Buddha even Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed and become like one. Simply following their teachings leads nowhere.
Hinduism worship place near me
As a human being I must take a pledge never to indulge in rituals (religious practices) instead try to follow path of spirituality to reach God in present life time.
Furthermore if we seriously observed, all ritual religious congregations looked more like a picnic spot than place of pure worship. When the abode of God is our heart, why go elsewhere. Hinduism religion primarily is monotheistic believing in Nirguna (without a form) attribute of God. Those who believe in Saguna (having a form) attribute of God keep rotating in endless cycles of birth and death. What use human life if we did not hear promptings of soul atman coming from within?
As per Hinduism everything lay within us. To search for God we need not go anywhere, not even to a temple church or mosque. Remaining wherever we were we could accomplish everything spiritually. Realizing this abstract cosmic truth of life early in life I finally succeeded in reaching stage of self realization god realization 37 years of age.
