Bhagavad Gita accords highest status to women and there is no exception on that. The reason is simple. When souls’ atmans wanted to manifest a life form they found mother earth suitable for progeny. Immediately hurtling souls’ atmans started manifesting body after another.
In the entire cosmic system the status of a soul atman is supreme only next to God Almighty, Brahman in Hinduism. But these souls’ atmans would have remained inert, inactive in absence of life supporting planets like mother earth.
All women on mother earth directly represent mother earth, the cosmic mother. Had mother earth not provided support to hurtling souls’ atmans, they just could not have manifested a body. Similar as an Arihanta in Jainism is given more value than Tirthankara himself, mother earth is given an extra privilege over all other energies in cosmic world.
In Jainism unless an Arihanta deciphered the wisely sayings of a Tirthankara, the wisdom of Tirthankara would have never reached mankind. Almost equal importance like Tirthankara is accorded to an Arihanta, the enlightened one. When the enlightened one leaves mortal frame one becomes a Siddha, a Tirthankara.
Unless human beings respected all women, society could never progress evenly. This has been proved in times of Lord Krishna, even before and also now. Whenever women do not get desired respect in the society, it means the society is going to the dogs, reaching a point of no return. It is in such times precipitates an avatar, a savior messiah to re-establish Dharma (righteousness).
The respect accorded to all women on mother earth is unconditional, unilateral. Lord Krishna is absolutely clear about this status of women in Bhagavad Gita. Any man who disrespects or dislodges woman folk from their designated status ultimately bites the dust. Now or few years later, even in next manifestation such a man would be bitterly punished by God, so say inscrutable laws of karma.
And in present times we witness children as young as eight days old getting raped and one who committed crime going scot-free, all due to blessings of judicial system and policing force.
It is in such circumstances advents an avatar. Only a few more years to go mankind would witness advent of Kalki avatar between 2022 and 2025. It is then mankind would witness what happens to those who ill treat hapless women.
