Understanding the Bhagavad Gita

If we seriously desire understanding the Bhagavad Gita our indulgence in contemplation (chintan) is an absolute must. Only then we can expect to reach the hidden underlying meaning of sacred texts in various scriptures of different religions of world including Bhagavad Gita.

For a clear understanding of Bhagavad Gita we must also realize we are primarily a spirit, a cosmic traveler on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations. It manifests physical human form to cleanse self of dross impurities within. Unless human beings demolish their ego in totality nothing in Bhagavad Gita can be understood.

Metaphorically Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita is the spirit, Prana energy existing in us as our soul atman. To hear dictates of soul atman, Lord Krishna coming from within our heart we have to demolish ego in totality, there is no other alternative. At any given moment of time either one could dominate… our ego or Lord Krishna himself.

Practice of truthfulness 100% is also necessitated apart from demolition of ego.

Bhagavad Gita is all about liberating self from cycle of birth and death forever. When human beings travelling spiritual path finally succeeded reaching state of enlightenment followed by moksha salvation, the cosmic journey for soul atman finally ends. A liberated, pure soul atman in absence of dross impurities within need not manifest a human body again.

No wonder people read Bhagavad Gita many times but nothing becomes clear. Most avoided indulging in contemplation (chintan) the only path to reaching hidden underlying messages contained in Bhagavad Gita.
