Universal message of the Bhagavad Gita

The teachings of Bhagavad Gita being universal in nature were applicable to all irrespective of ones religion, faith or belief. Even while continuing ones religion one can indulge in teachings of Bhagavad Gita to reach state of absolute purity, liberate self from cycle of birth and death forever.

Even though part of Hinduism scriptures, Bhagavad Gita from the very beginning had universal appeal. The same was the case with all Upanishads (independent spiritual treatises) and also Vedas (Hinduism revelations). Except for religious practices, every norm of spirituality can be followed by one and all. Spirituality can never be affiliated to any religion, faith or belief.

Pure spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita forms summum bonum of life. There was nothing more pure, more natural and logical than teachings of spirituality contained in Bhagavad Gita.

Bhagavad Gita conveys only one universal message. Human life was an interim arrangement created by God for souls’ atmans to evolve themselves and reach cosmic end of life.

Of its own no soul atman could purify self. It needs a medium, a body to work out its karma, remove dross impurities within.

Following spirituality contained in Bhagavad Gita human beings can lead a spiritual life successfully. Spirituality demands human beings demolishing their ego to zero. Ego having reduced to zero results in human beings establishing total control over five senses and mind

Furthermore as detailed in Bhagavad Gita practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation human beings succeeded in full awakening of kundalini shakti that lay dormant in base of spine. The moment this happens and kundalini reaches Ajna chakra, Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petalled Lotus) existing in brain behind forehead opens fully. One immediately becomes an enlightened one, a Jina, a Mahavira… a bodhi forever.

Bhagavad Gita teaches mankind to believe in God and his system that consisted world of souls atmans. It is our belief in God and world of souls’ atmans that paves way for human beings to indulge in spirituality and reach cosmic end of life, 8.4 millionth manifestation.

Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism), Gautama Buddha even Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed exactly did that to reach state of enlightenment.

The entire wisdom of Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed is owed to teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and even Vedas received by them from Nalanda and Taxila universities of yore. Jesus Christ went to both the universities while Prophet Mohammed remained limited to Taxila University. The ruins of Nalanda University in present times lay in Bihar state of India while those of Taxila University in present day Pakistan.

To indulge in jnana wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads Jesus Christ came to India during his missing years (14 to 29 years of age). Prophet Mohammed belonged to a region in Persia whose boundaries touched erstwhile Bharatvarsha (now India).

Outside India there are only two preceptors, enlightened ones Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed and both of them owed their wisdom to Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads.

It is Bhagavad Gita that conveys to mankind that we are primarily a spirit, consciousness manifesting human form. By indulging in spirituality we as a soul atman could liberate self from cycle of birth and death forever. After death of present body the present soul atman again manifests a new body and this cycle of life continues unabated.

The cosmic journey of life for a soul atman comes to an end when indulging in spirituality human beings reached state of enlightenment and finally moksha salvation.
