What Bhagavad Gita says about passion

Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita says one has to be passionate about a subject; a path to the extent of Swami Vivekananda, only then one would succeed reaching the end of journey.

Unless one was passionate about spirituality, nothing could be learnt from Bhagavad Gita. One has to dive deep into the bottomless pit of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita to unearth pearls of wisdom that explained hidden cosmic precepts of life.

Religious practitioners looked at spirituality just as a pastime. The passion necessitated to reach the end state of spirituality was missing in religious practitioners.

How many people succeeded in reaching God practicing religion (path of rituals), not even one amongst the entire world fraternity! We just could not take path of spirituality casually.

The passion within originated when we had absolute faith in God and world of souls’ atmans.

When about six years of age I developed a deep-rooted desire to see and meet God in this very life. By nine years of age I finally decided to stop the endless rotation in cycles of birth and death. And so started my spiritual pursuit of life!

I was deeply passionate about path of spirituality never religion. Something within told me all the time that going to temples churches and mosques I would never reach God in present life time. Around 6 1/2 years of age I stopped going to temples churches and mosques.

When my mother confronted me why I was not accompanying her to Jain Temple I told her point-blank, either show me God in the various statues kept in the temples or she has to forget my going to temple again. As she had no answer to my query, she never persisted again.

Around 37 years of age I finally completed my spiritual journey reaching state of self realization, god realization. Only after reaching God I realized the real importance of having a passion in life. In absence of a passion and a goal human beings frittered their energy gaining nothing in the process. If we seriously desire reaching God in present life time we must develop a passion from within. This can be done by becoming 100% truthful in life.
