Journey of self realization is an inward journey towards the spirit, consciousness existing in our heart as soul atman. Journey of spirituality means removing dross impurities within soul atman. We have to perform requisite nishkama karma yoga to reach state of self realization.
Something that needs negating karma to zero, how could it be transmitted by a self realized soul. True seekers never went after meaningless gimmicks, so-called authoritative sayings by religious preachers. Journey of spirituality is always indulged individually by the seeker. Not even self realized souls like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha even Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed could help in the matter. The most they could do was dissolve some of our queries within.
People who went after shaktipath all the time searched for shortcut methods to reaching state of self realization. In the end they achieved nothing. Anything spiritual can never be transmitted through shaktipath. The concept of shaktipath was originated by religious preachers, never spiritual. In the field of pure spirituality all the precepts, doctrines and practices were absolute.
True spiritual masters did not believe in miracles. Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism, preceptor) rightly said he was not a believer of miracles. Once an aged person with something in hand covered by cloth came to Mahavira! From a distance Mahavira told him to go back. Mahavira could read the mind of the aged person; he knew what the aged person had come for.
In the hands of the aged person was the dead body of his minor son. He had come to Mahavira to receive his blessings and expectation that the touch of Mahavira could make the boy come alive. Mahavira told him in clear terms that in Jainism there was no place for miracles ever. Once the soul atman leaves the body, it is permanent and could not be reverted back.
Instead of believing in miracles, shaktipath, special transmission of spiritual powers by self realized Masters, seekers must indulge in pure spirituality via path of contemplation (chintan) all the time. Only then we can hope to reach state of self realization in our lifetime.
