In the world of atman sufferings never existed. All atmans were aloof from everything we experienced as a manifest physical human being on mother earth.
All atmans from the very beginning of life remained passive. Of their own they could not purify self. To cleanse self of dross impurities within they manifested human form and started intermittent cycle of sufferings and happiness.
All sufferings and happiness human beings experienced were limited to manifest physical body. Our consciousness, atman existing in heart does not realize sufferings ever but the manifest forms do. This includes lower forms of life also.
Human consciousness existing in heart is part of greater consciousness we called God Almighty. Or we can say God Almighty himself existed in all living beings including human beings in miniscule form as atman, consciousness within.
When journey in human form is undertaken by consciousness within, our atman also becomes the absolute master and controller of human life. At no stage of life human beings can say they were slaves to the cosmic design of God Almighty.
Human form the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle how could it be slave of destiny, fate! The absolute reality is, dominated by ego we failed to realize our true identity as an atman. Indulging in spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita we finally realized that demolishing our ego we could distinctly hear promptings of atman, consciousness coming from within our heart.
Human suffering was part of cosmic design. In absence of sufferings happiness carried no value. For human beings to evolve, for an atman to reach its cosmic end of life both sufferings and happiness were inbuilt into cosmic system. By indulging in spirituality we greatly reduced our sufferings.
