Bhagavad Gita in daily life

Bhagavad Gita is not something that relates to daily life. The teachings of spirituality contained in Bhagavad Gita were meant for seekers who wanted to reach God in their lifetime. There is nothing in Bhagavad Gita that relates to principles of management. Bhagavad Gita purely relates to inner journey towards our soul atman so that we can reach state of absolute purity.

In present times not in hordes but almost all so-called preachers teachers tried to teach mankind that Bhagavad Gita relates to daily life, contained best principles of management and so on.

I have come across many who started their journey towards God in right earnestness and simultaneously indulging in day-to-day affairs of life. They subsequently could not maintain a balance between the two lives, the external and internal. Result, most succumbed to severe depression, some never to recover.

Spirituality is not something that could be covered in part-time.

Spirituality demands highest level of perfection that could ever be practiced by human beings. Furthermore spirituality demands highest level of patience, persistence and perseverance that could be practiced by mankind. One truly needs willpower possessed by Swami Vivekananda to indulge in teachings of Bhagavad Gita. Whoever felt otherwise was totally mistaken.

The teachings of Bhagavad Gita must never be indulged casually. The reason is apparent! Indulgence in Bhagavad Gita propels one towards isolation. Spirituality demands cessation of all worldly earthly ties. There comes a stage in the life of a seeker when one is not able to recognize ones parents, brothers and sisters close relatives and friends.

For a true spiritual seeker indulging in Bhagavad Gita the whole world becomes one large family.

Spirituality also demands demolition of ego in totality. For such a person family values finally meant nothing. This is purely for the reason that human body is manifested by soul atman, the spirit within and human form is just a medium for soul atman to cleanse self of dross impurities within. The life of a spiritual seeker always belonged to entire world, never the individual self.

In such circumstances how can one apply Bhagavad Gita in daily life?
