What is the Vision and Mission of Hinduism

The vision and mission of Hinduism has always been establishing Satyuga (the golden period). This becomes possible when human beings change their outlook of life from material to spiritual. Once we become a spiritual, we could follow dictates of spirituality detailed in Bhagavad Gita to reach cosmic end of life, becoming an enlightened one forever.

As the cosmic goal of life for all human beings on mother earth irrespective of their religion faith or belief is realizing self, realizing god, we as human beings cannot continue indulging in rituals (religious practices) just whiling away our precious time on mother earth. It is time we realize that we are limited by 70 to 80 years of earthly abode. If we pass this time doing nothing, there was no guarantee we would travel spiritual path next life.

The next form manifested by our soul atman after death of present body is governed by residual balance of karma at the time of death. Who knows what form our soul atman shall manifest in next life! As we are a spirit, soul atman in essence the early we recognize our true identity, the better for us. It is imperative as dictated by doctrines of Hinduism that human beings indulged in spirituality, sacred texts of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent spiritual treatises) to reach cosmic end of life when one finally merges with God Almighty permanently.

As per laws of karma, our future is guided by the residual balance of karma of the present moment. As we indulged, accordingly manifests our destiny, our future. The guidelines laid in Hinduism scriptures were abstract but clear. Following path of spirituality not religion we could realize the hidden underlying meaning of sacred texts. It is this jnana wisdom that helps us cut across shackles of karma, dross impurities within forever. In absence of teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita none world over could realize self, reach god in one’s lifetime.

The vision and mission of Hinduism was not limited to inhabitants of India alone or followers of Hinduism. The sacred teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads were also not propriety of Hinduism alone. Any human being world over belonging to any religion faith or belief can ceremoniously indulge in teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads to reach state of enlightenment. The underlying unity of mankind can be understood only by following spiritual precepts contained in sacred texts of Hinduism.

Hinduism is the guiding pillar of light for entire humanity. Understanding Indian spirituality was not easy prime reason why our mastering art of contemplation (chintan) is necessitated.

Something that had universal appeal, teachings of Bhagavad Gita form core of mankind! Mahavira and Gautama Buddha followed it and so did Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed.

As long as followers of Islamic Dharma continue worshipping and praying to Prophet Mohammed, one would not be able to become one. Similarly followers of Christianity must stop worshipping, praying to Jesus Christ but try to become one.

The essence of Hinduism laid in the fact that all human beings world over had to one day become a Mahavira or Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed. There was just no escape from our travelling path of spirituality. We can do if now in present life or entirely forget about it. As the reins of next life, next body rests with our soul atman, as a manifest physical human being in present life we had no say in the next body manifested by our soul atman.

The final decision rests with us.
