Yes, flashes intuition keep coming to a truthful seeker of God from the very beginning. Premonition is never ruled out. An avatar in the early stages of life is without any ego. Due to this one can distinctly hear promptings of Lord Krishna coming from within our heart.
Allegorically Lord Krishna is the soul atman, spirit existing in our heart from the beginning of life. At any given moment of life only one can prevail, ego or Lord Krishna within. Those indulging in material pursuits of life pursued path of ego whereas seekers, travelers of spiritual path always try to listen to sweet small promptings of Lord Krishna coming from within.
The sooner a spiritual traveler kills ego the better for one as spiritual journey expedites multifold.
When the ego is dead forever, our interaction with Lord Krishna becomes a daily routine. It is in such moments one often had flashes, intuitions about what is going to happen in the world and also about self spiritual development. If the path we indulged was wrong then Lord Krishna from within guided us to change the right path.
For listening to dictates of Lord Krishna coming from within, one has to be 100% truthful from the beginning of life. If we cannot become 100% truthful, we just could not hear dictates of Lord Krishna, soul atman coming from within. For becoming an Arjuna so that we could hear the sermon of Lord Krishna from within our heart we have to follow path taken by Swami Vivekananda.
Swami Vivekananda practiced truthfulness from the very beginning of life. He could have easily reached state of enlightenment in his lifetime but he did not want to. When admonished by Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa why he had come to him if the goal of his life is not enlightenment, self realization god realization, Swami Vivekananda politely replied he only wanted to affirm presence of god, nothing more. Swami Vivekananda left achievement of self realization, god realization for next manifestation.
Not only Kalki avatar but even other spiritual travelers sometimes experienced flashes, intuitions based on their level of purity. It is common for people indulging in spirituality world over.
Kalki avatar is depicted riding a white horse with sword in hand. A spiritual traveler who was truthful from the beginning of life and also inculcated power of Chanakya (the most able administrator in the entire history of mankind) finally becomes ruthless in all affairs of life.
Despite reaching state of enlightenment one also practices Dharma (righteousness) and to re-establish Dharma (righteousness) against evil adharma (lawlessness) one finally dons the mantle of an avatar.
