Even before thinking about moksha salvation we must clearly understand definition of yoga meditation. Yoga is not what most human beings world over perceived it to be including the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Yoga was never about a routine of yogic exercises (asanas).
Yoga has a very deep spiritual meaning. Yoga is derived from root word yog which in Hinduism stood for our soul atman wanting to merge, unite with Brahman, God Almighty creator of entire cosmos. In Hindi two yog two equals four. Yoga is termed meditation in English.
Our journey towards God demands our indulgence in spirituality detailed in Bhagavad Gita. Without indulging in yoga meditation how can a seeker reach state of enlightenment followed by moksha salvation? This was just not possible.
Without attempting to climb, having no knowledge of mountaineering can we ever climb Mount Everest? The first step towards God demands our indulgence in yoga meditation. Unless we have a deep-rooted desire to merge with God, to see and meet God in this very life time, we shall not find success on path of pure spirituality.
To successfully undertake spiritual journey we not only have to indulge in yoga meditation which demands indulging in contemplation (chintan) all the time, only then we would be able to realize the hidden underlying meaning of sacred texts contained in scriptures of different religions of world including Bhagavad Gita.
