Do Devatas have a need to pursue Moksha

Devata is a religious term supposedly used for deities existing in heaven (swarga). As detailed in Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna all deities existing in heaven would have to come down to mother earth to rotate in endless cycles of birth and death and finally gain enlightenment followed by moksha salvation from mother earth only.

As per Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita state of enlightenment followed by moksha salvation can never be achieved directly from heaven (swarga)! This clearly indicates that all deities existing in swarga (heaven) were souls’ atmans that had accumulated lot of Punya karma in their favour. As and when it gets exhausted, they have to come down to mother earth to indulge in law of karma.

Only then they can become a pure soul atman. Karma in all circumstances has to be negated to zero. The doctrine of karma is equally applicable to human beings including Devatas.

From spirituality point of view the existence of Devatas in heaven (swarga) meant nothing. Spirituality does not believe in such precepts of religion

Rightfully understood as a human being we must realize that earthly journey in human form is the most precious journey for soul atman within. State of enlightenment followed by moksha salvation can only be achieved in human form, never lower or other forms of life like Devatas.

All Devatas have to finally manifest human form on mother earth to cleanse themselves of dross impurities within. Only then they can reach state of moksha salvation.
